Jessica Stuart delivers innovative jazz/pop music with a soulful sound. The band fuses experimental rhythms with enchanting melodies, creating a truly unique musical experience.
An avid traveler, Jessica’s music references her Canadian roots, while exploring other areas of the world – most notably Japan. A multi-instrumentalist, Jessica plays the guitar as well as the Japanese koto. Hart House is proud to present Jessica, along with bassist Dan Fortin and drummer Nico Dann, for what is sure to be an exciting evening.

February 19, 2010 - 9:00 PM - Arbor Room - The Oren Neiman Quartet - The Oren Neiman quartet is a band with innovative compositions and imaginative arrangements exploring a combination of Jazz sensibility with Middle Eastern rhythms and melody. Due to Oren’s upbringing in both Israel and Canada it is a natural goal for him to find a balance in his compositions between these two musical worlds.
The result is a unique fusing of a myriad of musical traditions (Balkan, Eastern-European, and Jewish/Klezmer), with daring improvisations and inventive textures, showcasing the groups varied musical backgrounds. The group is based in New York and has played for audiences in the USA, Israel, Spain, and Canada.

February 26, 2010 - 9:00 PM - Arbor Room - The Skule Stage Band - The Skule Stage Band hits the stage at the Arbor Room for a FREE concert brought to you by the Hart House Music Committee. Offering a wide variety of tunes including swing, latin, ballads and funk, the Engineering Faculty’s stage band never fails to bring a crowd to its feet.
The Skule Stage Band was established in 1983 by engineering students, and it has since blossomed into over 25 years of talented alumni. The evening promises to be full of both crowd-pleasers and technically challenging tunes, which can’t fail to delight.
